The continuous and surge current rating of the Sollatek cigarette lighter plug and socket?

Not an issue as the fuse rating is well below the wire rating.

The Glowstar pcb has a soldered auto fuse (F01: 2 or 3A) on its Solar Jack/ alternate charge input. This will protect the pcb from excessive charge current when using a car battery to charge the Glowstar. (Solar is not a problem as the pamphlet recommends a max of 30W panel for GS7.)

This will also protect a car charger adapter lead from overheating. For your info the car charger male plug has an in line 10 amp fuse as a secondary safety measure.
